Andy has lived, studied and worked in South Yorkshire for 28 years, 16 of which were spent working in a range of capacities for Sheffield City Council Social Services.
He moved to the NHS in 1999 to become North Sheffield Primary Care Group Chief Executive and then became North Sheffield PCT Chief Executive in 2001.
In October 2006 Andy was appointed Chief Executive of NHS Rotherham. In March 2011 he was appointed Chief of NHS South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw.
In addition, Andy is a Non-Executive Director of the National Treatment Agency for Substance Misuse (NTA) and a member of the NHS Confederation's PCT Network Board.
