Staff at NHS Rotherham are in the mood for celebration this week after winning a bumper crop of both national and regional awards.
The new NHS Rotherham website scooped a hat trick winning the best NHS website award and the overall best website in the national SiteKit awards which celebrate creativity and technical innovation. The website also came runner up in the national Association of Healthcare Communications and Marketing (AHCM) Awards for Best New Media for the innovative ‘One Small Step Campaign’ which aims to encourage walking and physical activity.
The team at NHS Rotherham also had success at the NHS Yorkshire and the Humber Health and Social Care Awards with fantastic work being showcased from across the region with 300 nominations; Rotherham having two of the 18 finalists. The Care Homes Liaison Team was shortlisted for the Primary Care and Community Based Integration Award for their excellent work in supporting numerous care homes to provide better care for their residents. And in the final category of the evening, the Excellence in Commissioning Award, the Children and Young People’s Specialist Equipment Development Team emerged as the winner for their work to really improve this service for very needy and vulnerable children. They now go on to the national finals to be held later this year.
The 'S-word' sexual health campaign was also shortlisted for the best social marketing campaign at the AHC Awards.
