Overview

The aims of the Health Network are to support community and voluntary groups in Rotherham.  They encourage involvement with health and social care issues.  They assist in influencing developments within Health and Social Care and ensure equal access to Health and Social Care Services.
We also give people the opportunity to discuss, comment on and challenge potential plans, we encourage training and research to further the aims of the Network Group.  We let people in Rotherham know about our work, our aims, and the benefits in this.  We signpost people to appropriate groups and organisations.

As at April 2009 39 local groups were affiliated to the network.  It has a formal constitution with elected officers and committee and is supported by NHS Rotherham.

NHS Rotherham has made available annually a pot of money to be utilised in the form of a Small Grants scheme for community groups and health based projects within the Rotherham area. Find out more and see if your project is eligible.
