Rotherham community health centre

Cuts. Strains. Itches. Sprains.

For the treatment of minor illnesses or injuries that cannot wait until you can make an appointment with your GP, visit the Rotherham NHS Walk in Centre.

The Rotherham NHS Walk-in Centre is open weekends and all bank holidays (except for Christmas Day) from 8am to 9pm.
It is open to all members of the public who can turn up without an appointment to access GP services when they need urgent, but not emergency, treatment when their GP practice is closed.
The facility is staffed by local GPs, nurse practitioners and community nurses and offers treatment, advice and information on a range of minor illnesses and injuries.  These may include:

  • Coughs, colds and flu-like symptoms
  • Stomach ache, constipation, vomiting and diarrhoea
  • Eye and ear problems
  • Cuts, wounds, bites, stings
  • Childhood illnesses and fever
  • Muscle and joint injuries – sprains and strains
  • Skin complaints and minor burns
  • Emergency contraception – also available at most pharmacies
  • Women’s health problems – thrush, cystitis, menstrual advice
  • Plus any other problem that you would normally attend your GP practice for.

The Rotherham NHS Walk-in Centre is run on behalf of NHS Rotherham by Care UK.  It is located at the new Rotherham Community Health Centre, Greasbrough Road, Rotherham, S60 1RY.  It is close to Rotherham Interchange and directly behind Rotherham Council’s Bailey House.  There is free car parking for patients on site.
